Our library
opened its doors on April 1, 1989 with the help of founder,
Pat Ferenz, the Crowley Kiwanis Club
and many volunteers. After
funding by the city of Fort Worth for outlying library services
was discontinued,
Pat Ferenz and other citizens wanted to make
the dream of Crowley having its own library a reality.
After 3 years of continued effort, a 900 sq. ft. building, donated
by the city of Crowley and a $10,000 donation
by the Crowley
Kiwanis Club, the library was born. Volunteers helped to build
the first shelves and over 2,000
books were donated.
